Who Is NevaHurd????

Born Ryan Daley

I was raised by my wonderful Mother in Scarborough, an east end Suburb of Toronto. Even from birth the devil tried to overtake me as I was born pre-mature and eventually developed a heart murmur that stayed with me for the first 10 years of my life before clearing. I always had a interest in entertaining even as child I found ways to draw attention to myself. Raised in the Church the older I grew I realized I was there in body but my spirit was in the world somewhere.

Even though I tried to run from where I knew I was called to be, I was never far from where I belonged. With the prayers of my mother, and the compassion of my Lord and Savior, I never found myself convicted of any criminal activities. Despite the fact that many of the peers I kept company with were not so fortunate. With the love and guidance of my mother, I was able to steer clear of the temptations that most of my peers fell victim too.

When I reached High School I was introduced to Hip Hop. At that time, Notorious B.I.G, Wu-Tang Clan, Boot Camp Clique, Tupac as well as a bevy other artist were in constant rotation on the radio. I instantly fell in love and eventually I immersed into the world of hip hop. I was influenced in the culture, clothing, the lifestyle, and everything else that hip hop began to promote and still promotes to this day.

What started as a hobby of just writing songs and listening to music, turned into me forming a group with some of my childhood friends. The group was making music and performing locally in Toronto when I came to a realization. I had realized that God had blessed me with this talent, but I was not using it to glorify him.

Immediately I decided to stop writing and performing secular music. Today I use the talent that God has blessed me with to reach those who are going through the same things I have. With the help of many other local artists in the Toronto area I am able to spread the gospel thru music. I am able to teach and reach the youth that are captivated by the same genre of music I was in High School; but this time I am leaving them with positive thoughts, uplifting words, and planting the Word of God in their lives.

  4. Hey Neva!

You gave me a copy of "The Dawn" at the July 9th event and told me to get back to you about it.

I just want to know when the full length CD is coming out. The Dawn was excellent but I need more. It was a small taste of an awesome message.

keep doing what you're doing. God Bless man.
